Spring 2010 Performance

Description There’s nothing quite like live performance. For those of you unfamiliar with my Student Performances, students have been divided into ‘bands’. Each band has chosen a theme (Accoustic, Hard Rock, Funk, even an Eric Clapton tribute). Throughout the next two months, we will work these songs into the students’ private lessons. Additionally I will hold a handful of hour-long ‘rehearsals’. During rehearsals we put the songs together, focusing on group dynamics. The one-hour rehearsals will take the place of the students’ regularly scheduled lesson. With these performances, I seek to introduce students to the world of live performance. Students will perform in an actual music club, where bands can be seen regularly. Each band will have the power to choose, prepare, and ultimately perform music in a laid back atmosphere.

For those who missed the first rehearsal . . . It’s not too late. Students who missed the first rehearsal can still be worked into the spring performance, but they have to contact me ASAP.

For non-participating Students Any students not participating will need to contact me to reschedule lessons on the following dates:

  • March 3 – March 7
  • March 28 – April 3
  • April 24
  • May 1
  • May 15 – May 20
