Over the last seven years, Scott has found himself

In 2006, Scott founded the Big Lick Brass Band in Roanoke Virginia. During his four years with the band, they performed throughout Southwest Virginia in its most popular clubs including Awful Arthurs in Roanoke, Fellini’s #9 in Charlottesville, the Lantern in Blacksburg, etc. A regular feature in the annual Roanoke City Holiday Parade, in 2009 they were named ‘Best Musical Performance’. In 2008 they opened up the Roanoke City Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration in front of over 28,000.

Scott returned to New York in 2009 to continue his education at the Aaron Copland School of Music. While there he studied with trumpet player/composer Michael P. Mossman, ultimately receiving his Masters Degree in Jazz Performance 2012.

In 2012, Scott was compelled to resurrect his Brass Band, this time in larger form. In addition to leading the Brass Band, Scott Kulick Sextet, and Folk-Jazz Trio,  Scott has appeared as a sideman with Jimmy Heath’s Queens Jazz Orchestra, Abbey Road Live!, Sol Creech, Halfmoon, Electric Chameleon and many others.
